FAQs

Do you help with what to wear / how to prepare?

Yes! Before your session, we’ll talk through location, wardrobe, and what you want your photos to feel like. You won’t be left to figure things out on your own — planning is part of the experience. The most important thing is to be comfortable! It’s also fun to show some personality in your wardrobe choice. I’ll guide you during the session so you don’t have to “perform” for the camera. What to wear is such a common question that I wrote a blog post on it which you can read here.

Do you shoot in all weather conditions?

I shoot outdoors in most weather conditions. A dreary nonstop downpour is a no go for me. It’s not good for my camera equipment and certainly not good for my clients. If that is the case on your photo day, we can either reschedule if you are set on outdoor photos, or I can bring my studio to you and do a photo session in the comfort of your own home.

When is the best time for a Senior Photo session?

There really is no single best time! Anytime before or during senior year is perfect. It all depends on your schedule, the weather, and also what you want to include in your senior portrait session. Some seniors like to check the box early and do their photos in the fall. Fall weather is beautiful, and then the photos can be used for holiday cards. Other seniors like to include their cap and gown, and maybe some props from the college that they will attend in the fall. If that’s the case, a spring session is probably better. I wrote an entire blog post about this which you can read here.

How do we choose our images after the session?

After your session, you’ll see a complete story of images. I’ll guide you through the selection process and help you choose what matters most, so the experience feels easy and nothing important is overlooked. Is there anything else I can answer for you? Please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!
